| Training: | Website www.billmurphyirishactor.com Bill Murphy is an Irish Actor, Voice-over Artist, Singer, Filmmaker and Writer who has worked extensively throughout the world on stage and film in a career spanning over thirty years. Bill was born William A. Murphy on the 14th of February, 1963 in the city of Cork. He is married to Eileen Murphy whom he met while playing Daddy Warbucks to Eileen's Grace on stage at the Tivoli Theatre in Dublin back in 2001. They have two fine sons, Fionn and Oisín Murphy. Bill's most recent credits include The Christmas Break (working title), in which he played the character Jerry, and Vikings Valhalla on Netflix, in which he played the character Ödger. Bill has an impressive backlog of Theatre work in Ireland, including the National Theatre of Ireland (Abbey Theatre), most recently on the production of Abbey Calling, Dear Ireland Continues and Country Girls. From 2015 to 2017, Bill worked on the production Once in Dublin, directed by John Tiffany, playing the character Da at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin and in Seoul in South Korea to huge critical acclaim. Bill has also just released his own short film Lily's Theme which will be coming shortly to a film festival near you! |
